The long-awaited new issue of Fantastic Man, the gentleman’s style journal, has just been published, and has much to commend itself.
On the cover is the artist Mr. WOLFGANG TILLMANS, on the eve of a major exhibition this summer at the SERPENTINE GALLERY in London.
Also featured is Mr. ALEXIS TAYLOR of HOT CHIP, the legendary specimen of masculinity Mr. FABIO LANZONI, and the celebrated journalist Mr. BOB COLACELLO. These extensive profiles sit alongside an array of fashion proposals for the vacations, as well as Fantastic Man’s much-loved regulars and some unexpected innovations.

Fantastic Man - a fashion magazine for guys who hate fashion magazines. You won’t find ultra high-gloss paper, loads of ads, and vacuous content. Instead, the magazine favors uncoated paper, restrained advertising, and refreshingly quirky yet compelling articles. Fantastic Man is the brainchild of designer Jop van Bennekom and journalist Gert Jonkers. Bennekom also publishes the exceptionally designed Butt Magazine. The layout is clean with modernist influences but has enough idiosyncrasies to steer it away from sterility. Combined with original photography and alternative fashion, this might be the most substantive fashion magazine ever.
