Bizarre, weird, funny - these are the first words which cross our minds when we think of the dutch artist Parra. This wonderful small booklet absolutely convinced us - and reminded us of Banksys first three publications, which had the same format.
The title of the little booklet is absurd and sets the tone for the rest: The Of Best by Parra.
Parras world is populated by men with pointy beaks, exuberant women, dancing aubergines and superheroes wearing high heels who proclaim: 'In 2007 there shall be an even amount of tomatoes.'
The autodidact Parra usually combines illustration and handdrawn typography with loads of whimsical humor in his work - the outcome are pieces of art with a strong graphic character, which remind us of psychedelic poster art of the 60ies.
